Check out the Book Sale in the large meeting room on Tuesdays for an extra bargain on Tuesdays! Every week will feature a new sale!

Kingston Community Library Fall Festival

Come join the fun on October 18th from 9 am - 1 pm at the Kingston community Library. Our rain date is October 25th. We are celebrating fall at the 1st annual Fall Festival. This day will be a day of fun, entertainment and contests for all ages. 

Scarecrow Contest: To participate, fill out an entry form and drop it off at the library by October 16th. Individuals, groups, and organizations are invited to participate! Winners will be determined by festival attendees who will be able to vote from 9am to noon. At 12:30pm, the winners will be announced. Apple Pie Contest: What festival would be complete without one? Pies must be dropped off by 9:30 AM. Judging will be at 12:00 PM. 

Pet Costume Contest: Dress up your pet in his or her best Halloween costume! Judging will be at 10:00 AM on the back lawn of the library. Please remember that all pets must be leashed and please come prepared to pick up any messes. 

Halloween Costume Exchange: Bring a costume, take a costume! Please bring any lightly used Halloween costumes you don't plan to use again and browse the selection for a new one. All costumes are welcome from infant to adult!

Pumpkin Painting: Children are welcome to paint their own pumpkin outside the craft room during the day. 

Face Painting: Children can get their faces painted today with lots of different designs! 

Giant Games: Have you ever played a game of Giant Checkers? How about Giant Connect-4? We will also have Giant Scrabble and Giant Jenga! These life-sized games will be available today only!

Also, Food and Live Music!

This promises to be one of the best library events all year! Please save the date. Grab your kids; bake a pie and come on down to have some fun. See you all there! 

Thursday, October 30 at 7:00 PM: It's Not About the Hike
Join us for an inspirational and motivational program about pushing ourselves, overcoming fears, finding our passions and living our lives to the fullest.   

Thursday, November 6 at 7:00 PM: Contra Dancing in New Hampshire Then and Now with Dudley Laufman
Dudley Laufman won the National Folk Art Award and a National Heritage Fellowship, as well as the New Hampshire Governor's Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement. Join us for a fascinating lecture about the history and popularity of Contra Dancing with live music, demonstrations, and audience participation! Light refreshments will be served.
