Accessibility Help

The Kingston Community Library (KCL) wants everyone to be able to use our website easily. We are committed to making our online information, programs, and services accessible to all members of our community.

If you are having trouble using our website, we are here to help.

Using the KCL Website

The KCL website is designed to work with assistive technologies and different ways of accessing information. You should be able to:

  • Use the website with a keyboard instead of a mouse

  • Use screen readers and other assistive technology

  • Increase text size or zoom in on the page

  • Use the site on a phone, tablet, or computer

  • Navigate pages using headings and clear menus

  • Watch videos with captions when available

We work to follow accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 and 2.2, Level AA) and the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Need Information in Another Format?

If you need information from our website in a different format, we can help. Examples include:

  • Large print

  • Plain text

  • Help reading or navigating a page

  • Assistance completing an online form

  • Information provided by phone or email instead of online

Please let us know what works best for you.

Third-Party Websites

Some links on our website go to other organizations’ websites. We do not control those sites and cannot guarantee their accessibility. If you have trouble accessing information on a linked site, please contact us and we will help you get the information you need.

Our Commitment

Accessibility is important to the Kingston Community Library. We regularly review our website and work to improve access for all users. We are committed to providing equal access to our programs and services in accordance with ADA Title II.

Thank you for helping us make KCL welcoming and accessible for everyone.
